Flatbed Stepdeck OTR Truck Driver

NOW HIRING: OTR Drivers – Class A CDL – Flatbed

● Operating Area: All 49 States / occasionally Canada
● Well maintained and comfortable Peterbilt or Kenworth trucks (manual transmission)
● Flexible home time; home when you need to be

● Based out of the Cincinnati area

Flatbed experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.

Job Requirements

·         Must be able to sit and remain alert while driving for periods of time, up to 10 hours.

·         Must be able to shift a manual transmission and operate foot pedals.

·         Must be able to enter and exit the vehicle’s cab several times a day.  Cab floor is usually from 36 to 66 inches above ground level.  Entry is achieved by the use of various configurations of steps and handle holds. 

·         Must be able to perform lifting, crouching, bending, twisting, climbing movements involved in the loading, positioning, and securing of freight with chains, binders & straps.

·         Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 100 pounds. 

·         Experience with flatbeds, drop decks, etc. strongly preferred but not required.

·         No tickets within the last 3 years and no accidents within the last 5, preferred (can make exceptions for the right candidate).

·         Not cited for a D.O.T. defined accident in the previous 3 years.

·         Occasional tarping required.
