Pulled into a Pennsylvania rest area last night and found the lot packed by 7 PM sharp. These days, I try to plan my breaks earlier along I-80 and aim for the smaller stops off the main exits. Anyone else have a go-to spot for snagging parking before the rush?

Yesterday’s run along I-70 through Kansas reminded me just how much a shifting flatbed load can mess with your nerves. Always double-check those binders after 50 miles, even if you’re in a hurry. Anyone else got a favorite trick for keeping lumber tarps from flapping in these prairie crosswinds?
